Named Bots on a cloud computer. This page covers only what xAI publishes about the Grok Bot product. It is not a Cursor internals note, and it is not Grok’s consumer multi-agent chat mode.

What xAI publishes

Grok Bot is a named product: durable, named Bots (AI teammates) with jobs and context that persist. You work with a Bot by messaging it. Bots use a persistent cloud computer (browser, filesystem, terminal), connectors where available, and computer use for other apps and sites. Background work continues when the laptop is closed.

Multiple Bots can run in parallel, message each other, and use group chats. They share one account-scoped computer. That computer is not a per-Bot security boundary, as stated in the FAQ. Between users, isolation is described as strict.

Clients

Desktop: macOS, Windows, Linux. Mobile: iOS and Android. FAQ at launch: iPad not supported. Downloads are referenced via x.ai/bot on the get-started page.

Access / billing

As published on docs (fetched 13 Sep 2026): included with every paid individual Cursor plan and with the Cursor Teams plan; you can also link an individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, or SuperGrok Heavy subscription. Usage described as weekly. Sign-in with a Cursor account / SuperGrok link is documented. Training and privacy follow applicable Cursor account settings per the FAQ.

Skills vs routines

Skill = how to do a task. Routine = scheduled or event-driven assignment to a Bot (FAQ). Walk a Bot through a path once and it can save the path as a skill.

Not this product

Consumer Grok “multi-agent mode” on grok.com is a different surface. Grok Bot is not a physical robot. Stale secondary posts that called Grok Bot unconfirmed (Aug 2026 blogs) are superseded by docs.x.ai/grok-bot and x.ai/news (“Introducing Grok Bot”).
